Blue’s iconic beauty transformed the Moonalice legend from a collection of seemingly random factoids to a collection of seemingly random facts involving beautiful women. Blue first came to Monte Rio before this redwood grove even existed. You see, it was illegal to grow redwood trees in those days. For reasons unrelated to her name, Blue believed it was her calling to promote redwoods in Monte Rio. So she planted all of these trees here. But she was very careful. She planted them between rows of hemp so that no one would notice.
