Have you ever wondered why the food is so good and the people are so awesome in Santa Cruz County? Tonight, we provide the answer.
According to Moonalice legend, tonight's poster by Wendy Wright depicts one of the great breakthroughs in tribal agriculture. Nearly 100 years ago, the tribe here in Felton was trying to figure out how produce better hemp products. Like all farmers, Moonalices had troubles with bugs, but they kept the bugs at bay by playing loud music. The real issue was that the tribe got no kick from champagne . . . or corn, or lettuce, or carrots, or tomatoes or anything else but hemp products. They tried crossbreeding hemp with vegetables, but the results were unsatisfactory. That's when Don Quixote Moonalice suggested crop dusting. But instead of pesticide, DQ sprayed keef and trichromes from 1,000 feet, putting a blanket of buzz worthy powder on everything in Santa Cruz County. Explains a lot, no?
