According to Moonalice legend, we have long been fascinated by the Independent Organization of Odd Fellows. The Odd Fellows do not just have the coolest name ever for a fraternal organization, they have a really cool history, which led them to a policy of religious tolerance way before that idea was fashionable. Tonight’s poster by our art director Chris Shaw depicts Thing Moonalice, the only known member of our our tribe to be considered for membership in the Odd Fellows. Thing has four fingers and a thumb, more than enough to wear all three rings of the order, which represent Friendship, Love and Truth. Unfortunately, that left Thing’s middle finger without a ring, which led to an untimely bird during our boy’s interview with his chosen lodge. Needless to say, Thing did not make the cut. Fortunately, the Odd Fellows are a generous bunch and they let us play here anyway.
