Wall Street Journal story about Moonalice!

Here's the link: http://on.wsj.com/MEekKq The story includes a cool video. Here's the text.

The Tech Investor Is With the Band

By JOHN JURGENSEN

Music group Moonalice sounds like the Grateful Dead, but has two things that band never did: an internet broadcast network and a private-equity investor for a lead singer. Reporting by WSJ's John Jurgensen.

The Grateful Dead-inspired music of Moonalice is a throwback to the 1960s, but the band's technology is cutting-edge.

MoonTunes® player for iPhone/iPad now available!!!!

According to Moonalice legend, we have created a new HTML 5 player that allows fans to access the Couch Tour, our 160 show video archive, our 450 show audio archive, and our entire series of 500 posters ... all for free! This is a "beta" version, which means it will get a lot better, but it already gives you one touch access to everything we have created, so we're letting it out of the cage.

HTML 5: The Next Big Thing for Content by Roger McNamee

“Hypertext Mark-up Language 5 (HTML 5) is just a programming language.” A famous investor said this to me 18 months ago. The statement is true, especially if you delete the word “just.” But it misses the point.

As programming languages go, HTML 5 may be unusually disruptive. Not only is it the platform for the next generation web, HTML 5 is likely to be the foundation for Hyperweb services on the Hypernet, which encompasses not the web, but also the app model and whatever new technologies emerge in the online world.
