According to Moonalice legend, Napa is a special place, with its own traditions, its own culture, and its own natural wonders. People can grow anything here. Some members of our tribe grow weed, but the smart folks focus on grapes. Grapes lubricate our entire economy. But did you know that grapes can fly?
Tonight’s poster by John Mavroudis depicts the Napa’s first enonaut, Gargiulo Silver Oak Graham, the great great grandfather of Bottlerock’s own Dave Graham. Gargiulo Graham was famous for the light and airy Pinot that he made from lighter than air grapes. The grapes were so light and airy that Gargiulo had to use nets to restrain them. One day, he put too many grapes in a single net and found himself airborne. Fortunately, he had his banjo handy. Two chords later, the grape balloon crashed and Bottlerock was born.
Note: Lester and Dylan missed the concert because of covid.
Thank you to Jeff and Valerie Gargiulo.
