The Filaments Project collects used guitar strings from guitar players; some whose names you know, some whose names you don’t. We make bracelets and other jewelry out of them and donate all profits from the sale to charity.

Our primary beneficiary is the Sweet Relief Musicians Fun which administers help for working musicians in life-threatening situations. We have also supported fund-raising events for Performing Arts training for Autistic Kids,Leukemia Awareness, Hurricane Sandy Animal Rescue and have donated goods and services to many benefits for individual musicians, and we work directly with Moonalice, the New Riders of the Purple Sage and The Nelson Band raising funds for Buddy Cage's medical expenses and specific benefits.
