Who Was There?
According to Moonalice legend, tonight's poster by our amazing art director, Chris Shaw, depicts Napoleon "Crazy Horse" Moonalice, who fronted the tribal band for a decade back in the early 1800's. Napoleon had huge ambitions - he was a singer who wanted to take over world - which helps to explain why he dressed like a general for every gig. He looked marvelous ... but he wasn't a great lead singer. He had no vocal training and never practiced, so his voice was hoarse. The band tried to replace Napoleon, but he kept coming back. In the end, they exiled him to a tiny town in California's gold country, a town called Nevada City. The rest, as they say, is legend ...
