Moonalice Concert Posters By Dennis Larkins Featured in Exhibit in Hungary!

Artists have created more than 1,400 posters for Moonalice since the band played its first concert in May 2007. We are incredibly proud of the art created on our behalf. Thanks to Dennis Larkins, a large number of our posters found their way into an exhibit in Pecs, Hungary, called Rock Pop Underground. The exhibition will run until January 25 2025. Responding to the news that the Skull & Roses festival has been canceled, Bay Area psychedelic soul band Moonalice is offering free entry to its shows in the San Francisco Bay Area over 4/20weekend to fans who sign up and bring a Skull & Roses ticket.

“Skull & Roses was a fantastic festival and we were lucky to play there many times. The festival and its fans deserved a much happier ending,” said Moonalice’s Roger McNamee. “We think the right thing to do is give folks who had S&R tickets free entry to our shows on April 18, 19, and 20.”

Moonalice plays a set on Jam In The Van

Jam in the Van has an RV. Bands have to set up and record inside the van. The T’s were under the weather, so the rest of us went to the San Jose Convention Center and squeezed into the RV. (It would never have worked with ten!) Our first take was great, but the hard drive crashed, so we played the set again. It was really fun!

Commemorating the 1969 Harlem Cultural Festival!!!

In May this year the Senate agreed, by unanimous consent, to designate the last weekend of June 2022 as a time to commemorate the first weekend of the 1969 Harlem Cultural Festival!

In honor of the occasion Alexandra Fischer has created this wonderful commemorative poster featuring our very own Lester Chambers!!! Lester was the lead vocalist in the The Chambers Brothers who performed at the Harlem Cultural Festival and he now performs with Moonalice!!!

PopMatters: Bottlerock Napa review … featuring Moonalice

PopMatters wrote up a detailed review of the Bottlerock Napa festival. They wrote about the bands they liked best at the festival. The review is long and organized by day. We headlined a stage on Saturday night, so we are towards the end of that day’s write up. Enjoy!
