According to Moonalice legend, Chubby recently did an interview with the HeadCount Blog about how he came to write "American Dream Rag" and why he supports #Occupy.

Interview: Roger McNamee. Musician, Investor, Occupier

By Andy Bernstein in the HeadCount Blog

When Roger McNamee and his band +Moonalice play “American Dream Rag” at Occupy Wall Street protests, not everyone knows he’s one of Silicon Valley's most successful investors.

Here’s a 55-year old, long- haired guy singing “They took everything we have, but we don’t cry/We can’t afford to drink, but we still get high.”

According to Moonalice legend, the beta period for moonalice.com is over and we are now live! Our work continues and you can expect significant upgrades in the coming year.

If you are wondering what the big deal is with this site, here are a few of our thoughts:

* "control panel": the site is organized by show, with all the content in one play. The site serves whichever show the fan requests.

We continue to fix bugs and add features to the Moonalice beta site. The big news this week is that the poster navigation bar (above) works now! When you see a V, the show has video; an A means there is audio.

Another huge improvement relates to the music player on iPhones and iPads. Thanks to a new technology called HTML 5, our music player on iPhone and iPad is truly killer. When we first opened the beta, however, the product had no "play all" capability because Apple didn't have one. Now they do and so do we!!!

Be aware that there is an issue with the poster navigation bar above. We need to reprogram it, so don't be surprised if you get spinning white boxes for shows prior to 8/4/11. You can use the search magnifying glass to find any show.

The search function is primitive right now. When using search, start with a single word or name, like "Felton" or "San Francisco" or "Slim's".

Subject: Heads up from Roger McNamee

Dear Bob,

For the past 18 months, we have been developing a new website for Moonalice that would be optimized for mobile devices. It turns out we were ahead of our time, but the first phase of the site has just gone to open beta.

If you would like to see it, go to http://beta.moonalice.com

Please be aware that Apple does not support Flash and its support of HTML 5 is currently quite lame. You will discover to your annoyance that the Music Player will only play one song at a time on an iPhone or iPad. If you want to listen to the whole show, you have to press each song. Sadly, this is the state of the art.

HOWEVER . . . we think we have figured out a workaround! Be patient while we work this out.

There are other annoying limitations of HTML 5 on iPhones and iPads. We apologize in advance for not being able to list them all.
